"A Very Merry Unbirthday"

Tomorrow is my birthday(making today an Unbirthday!) and I got some veeery cool stuff from Hobby Lobby with some of my bday money. I got:

A large paper mache house to turn into a Haunted House
A small paper mache book that flips open(I can store my trading cards there after I make them)
A pack of black Artist Trading cards
A pack of frames, borders, and other accessories for artist trading cards
A set of Tim Holtz corked vials
A set of Tim Holtz keyholes(we already had one, but I got the newer set)
A Graphic 45 paper pack(I LOVE Graphic 45 paper! Especially Hallowe'en in Wonderland)
A set of Tim Holtz Journeyman paper

The Tim Holtz and Graphic 45 stuff I won't be able to open until tomorrow though because they were bought for my birthday. Alas! I only have to wait one day! Ah the joys of last minute shopping xD.

Recently I have come to own two sets of dishware-yes I am still in high school and I own dishware. One of which is Disney themed: it is Sketchbook Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto. Sadly I do not have all of the characters-as I was unable to find them all-but of what I do have I own 4 dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, and cups.

The other set is an Alice in Wonderland themed set(Cardew based in UK); basically this guy designed a line of dishware based on AiW for this company and his stuff is amazing! I have dinner plates, salad/desert plates, bowls, a trivet, a long plate(like for bread or something similar), a small teapot, some coasters, a set of four mugs, four coffee cups(two designs, two for each design), a little baby bowl, a mini tea set with cups and saucers, another mini tea set in a lunchbox equipped with little spoons, and a few tiny bowls.

Sounds like a lot right? xD

Anyways, last year we used the AiW dinner set to eat on because I got it for my 16th birthday. The dishware was distributed between Easter, birthday, and Christmas of last year, and the Disney set I purchased from my own money earlier. Then for Mother's Day this year I threw my mom a 'tea party', but not before sending her an 'invitation'. Of course, it was Alice themed. Her invite and MD card was also AiW themed.

Maybe I'll post pics of them some time.

"Curiouser and curiouser..."

Welcome!

I am a card maker, scrapbooker, altered art designer, book maker, artist, cross stitcher, and a soon to be sewer. The majority of my art projects I will be creating for my room, but I will also be making hand-made gifts-something that I will be doing a lot of in the coming months. I will post pictures of anything and everything that I create on my two blogs. A World Seen Through a Looking Glass, and my official artist blog, Drink Me Designs.

The first will be my personal blog to post information besides just art. The second, and most important, is my official site where I will be posting every design of mine. Drink Me Designs is also my official name. It is not up and running yet, but when it is I will start posting the progress of my latest project.
